To help make your first visit to our orthodontic offices go as smoothly as possible, we provide our patients with information about our office policies.

Insurance

We are pleased to be able to accept assignment of insurance benefits, allowing our patients to make financial arrangements with our office on the coinsurance (patient) portion of their orthodontic fee. Our Financial and Treatment Coordinators will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have regarding our fees and our financial arrangements.

Appointments

You will be given an appointment card as a reminder of your next visit. As a courtesy, we will also try to call you the day before to remind you of your appointment. However, since not everyone can be reached, we ask you to please keep track of your appointment. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.

• Late arrival: Arrival of ten or more minutes late for an appointment may result in rescheduling.
• Emergency visits: Although they are rare, there may be occasions (a broken appliance, for example) when you need to come in between visits. Just call us. You'll be seen as quickly as possible.

Fees and Finance Options

Because everyone has different orthodontic needs, fees can vary. Costs will be determined after your free, initial consultation with Dr. Browning. While orthodontic treatment is an excellent investment in the overall dental, medical and psychological well-being of children and adults, we also realize that families and individuals have different financial needs and are in different financial situations. We are proud to be able to offer in-office financial arrangements that are almost always flexible enough to allow our patients/parents to be able to afford orthodontic care. In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established our financial policy as follows:

1. If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount. If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.
2. To fit the needs of our patients, a financial arrangement can be made to extend your payments over a period of months following an appropriate down-payment.
3. For your convenience, we offer VISA and MasterCard service.

In cases of serious delinquency, treatment will be discontinued, although we will make every effort to accommodate our patients with temporary difficulties.

Insurance

If you have insurance, we will help you determine the coverage you have available. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. The balance will be arranged for you to pay as listed above. Professional orthodontic care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions for our office on your behalf.
